... Welcome to Rutgers's Guide to Idlepimps (Pt. 1) ... |
THE BASICS
idle-Mart:

idle-Mart: Where pimps go to buy beer, condoms, crack, weed, AK-47s, kevlar vests, thugs, and lowriders - (1) which you can see going straight down the center on the top half of the idle-Mart screen. (2) On the left side of the top half is where you can input how many of each item you are going to buy, and (3) on the right hand side of the top half is how much each item costs to purchase (these prices pretty much stay consistent every round). Under "Lowriders" you see (4) - "Total: $" - this tells you the accumulated amount of money you will be spending on all of your items. Below that is (5), the "Buy" button which purchases everything you chose to buy... *IF* you have enough money to do so. If you do not have enough money (which is indicated in your "bankroll" : 6)...you will see it say "Not enough cash" in (4)... but if you try to buy anyway you will see this screen:

In case you didn't notice yet,
(6)
is the same as
from your main
screen. It indicates how much cash you have on hand, or, in simpler terms,
how much money you have to spend.
Next, we go to the bottom half of the idle-Mart screen. This is another very important part of idlepimps...idle-Mart not only lets you buy supplies, it allows you to SELL your supplies as well. (I'll give you a quick example of an instance where you would sell supplies: if you have extra AK-47s, in other words more AKs than thugs, you can sell some AKs and buy more thugs. We can delve deeper into different scenarios as to why you would sell supplies later on in this guide). (7) Lists the items you can sell. (8) Shows how much money you will get for selling each individual item - the item's resell value. (9) Shows you how much of each item you currently have available to sell. Moving over to (10), it is very similar to 2 on the top half, but instead of putting the quantity of each item you want to buy you input how much of each item you want to sell. (11) is the "Sell" button...you press this button when you're done figuring out how many items you want to sell. (12) brings you back to the MAIN MENU, the main screen.
In idle-Mart, you can't buy and sell items at the same time. Pressing the buy button only purchases items, regardless if you have the the Sell Items section filled out. Pressing the Sell button only sells items, regardless if you have the buying section filled out.
